For nearly 30 years, the Songs of Love Foundation has been doing something simple and profound: writing personalized songs for children, teens, and seniors facing some of the hardest moments of their lives. More than 50,000 songs delivered. More than 50,000 names sung back to someone who needed to hear them.
Now, that mission just got a powerful new partner.
Songs of Love Foundation is proud to announce an official partnership with Suno — the world’s leading AI music platform. This collaboration marks a new chapter in how we create, deliver, and scale our personalized songs — and opens doors we never thought possible.
What This Partnership Means for the Children and Seniors We Serve
Every song Songs of Love creates is deeply personal. It includes the recipient’s name, their favorite things, the people they love, the music they grew up with. That has always been our foundation — and it always will be.
What Suno brings to that foundation is something extraordinary: the ability to produce every song with a level of quality, richness, and polish that has always been our dream for the families we serve. Whether a song begins with an original composition by one of our writers or is brought to life through Suno’s cutting-edge music engine, every recipient now gets something that sounds genuinely world-class.
“Songs of Love Foundation has built an incredible mission that we are extremely proud to support,” said Suno CEO Mikey Shulman. “They have spent decades delivering healing through music, and we’re dedicated to supporting their program so that more artists can volunteer, and more people can receive the gift of song.”
Giving Voices Back to the People Who Lost Them
One of the most moving aspects of this partnership is what it means for some of our longest-serving song creators — writers who have faced their own health challenges and lost the ability to sing.
Take Carl, a singer-songwriter and longtime member of the Songs of Love team. Carl lost his ability to sing due to tongue cancer. Through Suno’s technology, Carl was able to create a custom vocal persona trained on his previously recorded songs — allowing him to generate new music that sounds just like his own voice. His creativity didn’t stop when his voice did. Suno gave it back to him.
For many of our writers who face similar challenges, this is more than a technological breakthrough. It’s a profound restoration — the ability to hear their words sung in their own voice, as if illness never touched them.
A Time Machine for Music and Memory
Perhaps nowhere is this partnership more meaningful than in our Memory Initiative — our program dedicated to seniors living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other cognitive or memory-related challenges.
Music reaches people with memory loss in ways that little else can. But for a song to truly spark recognition and joy in a senior from a different generation, it needs to sound authentic — drawn from the musical world they grew up in. A song from the 1940s needs to feel like the 1940s. A swing ballad needs the real warmth of that era.
With Suno, Songs of Love can now authentically recreate the sounds of any decade — the very music that sparks memory, connection, and recognition for seniors in their 70s, 80s, 90s, and even 100s. As Songs of Love founder and president John Beltzer put it:
“We are sitting on a musical time machine capable of authentically creating songs in any style from past decades. There are very few songwriters who can deliver the kind of throwback songs that resonate with seniors. These songs don’t just jog memory. They preserve music history and bring it into the present.”
One early example was Joan, a 93-year-old woman with dementia. John created a personalized song for her using Suno — drawing on sounds and styles from her generation. The result was more than a song. It was a moment of recognition, of presence, of joy — proof that the right music can reach someone even when so much else cannot.
Real Stories, Real Impact
Joan’s story is just one of many already emerging from this partnership.
Tobias, a young boy undergoing medical treatment, heard his name and his favorite things sung back to him in a joyful anthem created just for him — and his entire family sang along. Zoe, another child, lit up with emotion hearing her custom track for the first time.
These are the moments Songs of Love exists to create. And with Suno, we can create more of them — in any style, any language, any era — for every child and senior who needs one.
Expanding Our Volunteer Community
Beyond technology, Suno is helping Songs of Love grow the community of people who make these songs possible. Through the Songs of Love Creator Program — an open call for volunteers launched through Suno’s global community of music creators — more artists than ever can now lend their talents to our mission.
The foundation has traditionally delivered several thousand songs each year. With Suno’s technology and the reach of its creator community, Songs of Love aspires to grow that number significantly — reaching more children, more seniors, and more families in need than we ever could alone.
“Suno is a platform that has enabled Songs of Love to deliver world-class quality content in any genre, style and language,” said Beltzer. “Now, with this partnership, we’re excited to expand our volunteer base by tapping into Suno’s incredible community of music-makers. It opens up a whole new chapter for how we grow our work and reach more kids and families in need.”
How You Can Be Part of This New Chapter
Songs of Love and Suno are just getting started. Every personalized song we create — whether for a child in a hospital bed or a senior in a memory care facility — still costs approximately $150 to produce and deliver. And it is still completely free to every family we serve.
That means your support matters more than ever. As we scale our mission and reach more people, donations are what make it possible to say yes to every request that comes through our door.

The Best Is Yet to Come
For nearly three decades, Songs of Love has operated on a simple belief: that every person facing hardship deserves to hear their story told in music. That belief hasn’t changed. What’s changed is what’s now possible.
With Suno by our side, Songs of Love can reach further, create richer, and touch more lives than ever before. The musical time machine is running — and there are so many more songs left to write.
