Carl  Allocco is a former major label recording artist and one of the original Song Creators at Songs of Love Foundation, joining us when we first started more than 30 years ago. After cancer took his ability to sing, Carl found a way back: using Suno’s voice cloning technology, he can once again “sing” the songs he writes for children and seniors facing serious illness.

NBC New York Gus Rosendale shared Carl’s story on Wed, Sept. 2, 2026, and we are proud to share it with you here.

Songs of Love Foundation is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has created more than 50,000 free, personalized, original songs for children facing serious illness, seniors living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, and individuals of all ages with disabilities. Every song is custom-composed by a volunteer Song Creator to include the recipient’s name, favorite things, hobbies, and even their beloved pets, in any genre or language.

We are proud partners of Suno, the leading AI music company, whose tools have dramatically expanded our capacity while preserving the deeply human touch behind every song we create. Carl’s story shows exactly what that partnership means: a real musician, with a real gift, reaching a child in need.
